It was designed and built by one of the many Overly volunteers.
The Overly Christmas village pond gives you that wistful feel of being young again. Maybe this is the place wherein we could make dreams and wishes, and expect that these hopes come to life. All people, no matter what age, are enticed to stop by and toss a coin into the wishing well. The proceeds for the Overly Christmas village pond will be given to the "Lights for Little Ones" endowment fund. It's good to think that people are using the beauty of God's creation to ensure that people learn to help each other and love each other. Loving and sharing are the core themes of Christmas and the Overly Christmas village pond has already contributed towards the development of these values.
The Overty Christmas village pond is an epitome of hope in the village. The wishes that people make as they throw their coins into the pond are proofs that even after all the global problems, people still know how to dream and believe that there is always a greater good in everything that there is. Christmas truly is the season of loving - and dreaming. After all, people who have hopes and dreams are the people who have brighter futures.
